What I wore- Sanibel Island Pt. 1

Jacket- Vintage, Dress- Hurley, Necklace- Free People, Jeans- Zara

In January I took a mini weekend vacation with my parents to Sanibel Island. The weather was still a little chilly so I opted for jeans and a jacket on the beach. (I did other beach goers a service by not wearing shorts and blinding them with my pasty, albino legs). My mom found this vintage camo jacket for me in Mt. Dora and the dress I picked up at the local TJ Maxx. Sanibel Island was beautiful and it was a nice to break out the fishing rods :)

Styling with Sweaters for Summer Nights

Marigold pullover sweater in peach, Atlantic Tank by Jen's Pirate booty in Blue, Baja Shorts in white

Beach Cable Pullover in grey, lace trim seamless tank in lime, floral print ankle crops

Beach Cable Pullover in blue, Fez Embroidered Dress in White

Three outfits I styled for work using our lightweight sweaters for summer nights! I paired the sweaters with white for a crisp, clean summer feel. The Beach Cable Pullover layered over the Fez Dress would look great with boots for a night out!

Some of our awesome mannequin outfits! Outfit on the right I styled the Beaded and Studded Battenburg Crop Cami in white over a blue mini skirt! Mini skirts work great as tube tops!

Sequins, Denim, and Velvet

Vintage sequin blazer, scarf from thriftstore, Lucky Brand denim shorts, Ecote boots

Outfit I wore today consisted of a sequin blazer that I paired with denim shorts and a fringed velvet scarf. I love mixing different elements and textures to add interest to an ensemble. Sequins don't necessarily need an occasion to be worn, nor does the rest of the outfit need to be "dressy". Clearly I love to wear them in the daytime, even if I'm going to the grocery store. Daytime, nighttime, all day, erryday.

Silver Kimono

Vintage kimono, f21 bodycon dress, vintage belt, ecote boots

Recently purchased this silver metallic kimono from a thrift store and I'm debating whether or not to remove the shoulder pads because it is rather large and slips off my shoulders, but I love the shape it creates. This is a great piece to throw over a dress or pants to create a quick outfit. I wore it here over a bodycon dress but I also love it with a long maxi dress for a more boho feel.
