Bohemian Decor- Guest Post by Design Shuffle

Hi, all! I'm Mari, a writer from Design Shuffle, a favorite social networking community for interior designers and design lovers from around the world. I love visiting great blogs like Mon Rev and Co. Today's guest post is about a very old, but newly rediscovered style that's being seen more and more around the virtual interior design world—the lovely eclectic Bohemian look. Whether you're in love with the older over-the-top "more is more" Bohemian style or the somewhat more restrained New Bohemian decor, we hope you'll enjoy the rooms we've brought to share today. This look can easily be incorporated into various rooms.  They're so much fun and filled with colorful and slightly eccentric decorating ideas we think will inspire your Bohemian dreams.
More restrained, or perhaps it just seems that way because of the tall ceilings and large open space, these rooms have plenty of Bohemian appeal without the clutter.

This "traditional" Bohemian bedroom design is all about color and pattern, with a lovely mix of formal (the bed and draped table) and informal in everything else.

Perhaps this foyer could be called high end Bohemian--it does have that same slightly eccentric look. The de Gournay hand-painted wall covering is stunning.

From the elegant entryway above to pure farmhouse Bohemian, this eat-in kitchen mixes its greens well and tops them off with a hand-painted mural on the ceiling. The beaded doorway is a perfect touch.

Could this eclectic little bath be dubbed French Bohemian? There is so much for the Bohemian heart to love in this space. The lace "draped" walls are amazing.

The color purple accents this lovely gray interior design. That deep hue is often seen in Bohemian décor. Make that purple velvet and it’s sure to appeal to free decorating spirits everywhere.

This brilliant space is picture-perfect traditional Bohemian décor. It's an eye-catching mix of styles, colors, patterns and textures. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
